Unlike places, events are pure omelee: a game you’re organising lives here in the app, not in OpenStreetMap. You post it, you run it, and you can change or cancel it whenever you like.
From the map, tap the + button to start one. You pick the sport, choose the place (search a facility or drop a pin where you’ll meet), set a start time and how many people can join, then add a short note about the level or what to bring. Publish, and your game is on the map for nearby players to find.
When you publish, people who follow that sport near the place get a heads-up, so you’re not just shouting into the void. They join from the event’s page, and you see who’s coming.
A precise spot and an honest level go a long way. “Casual 5-a-side, beginners welcome” pulls a better crowd than a bare time and place.
It’s your event: edit the details when plans shift, message the people who joined, or cancel if it falls through. Cancelling lets everyone who signed up know, so no one turns up to an empty pitch.
Missing the place itself? If the court or pitch you want to play on isn’t on the map yet, add it first and it’ll be there to pin your next game to.
